Slotevent Horeca Food Waste Challenge 2022: Kom je ook?

De afgelopen weken deden dertien Midden-Brabantse ondernemers mee aan de Horeca Food Waste Challenge 2022. Een mooie challenge die nu bijna op zijn eind loopt. Hoeveel kilo’s, CO₂’s én euro’s bespaarden de deelnemers? En wie boekte daarmee de mooiste vooruitgang? Je ziet het bij het slotevent op maandag 6 juni (Tweede Pinksterdag) bij Festival Hap Stap in de Interpolistuin. Je bent welkom bij deze feestelijke afsluiting!

 

De middag staat onder enthousiaste leiding van Frans-Jan Bertens, voorzitter van Stichting Hap Stap Festival. En dit staat op het programma:

  • Aftrap door de wethouder Circulaire Economie in Tilburg.
  • Visie van de organiserende partijen: Lilian Damen, voorzitter 013Food, Jos Klerx, sectormanager horeca Rabobank, Nicole van Hoof, projectmanager Up New Food (powered by Midpoint Brabant).
  • Thomas Luttikhold, oprichter en directeur van Wastewatchers, vertelt over het programma, specifieke uitdagingen, insights en successen van de deelnemers.
  • Wie is de winnaar? Bekendmaking en prijsuitreiking.
  • Borrel: volop gelegenheid om met elkaar van gedachten te wisselen met een borrel en natuurlijk een hapje!

Je bent welkom! Inschrijven kan tot 30 mei.

In de eerste plaats is dit het feestje van alle horecaondernemers die meedoen! Ook hun collega’s en fans en andere betrokkenen zijn van harte welkom. Net als iedereen die het verminderen van voedselverspilling een warm hart toedraagt. Vind je dit een interessant onderwerp en wil je er meer over weten? Kom dan zeker ook! Experts en ondernemers delen hun inzichten en ideeën met je. En je kunt er lekker netwerken natuurlijk.

Let op: Het evenement is vrij te bezoeken, maar aanmelden is wel nodig.  Want we willen natuurlijk geen voedsel hoeven weggooien! Meld je hieronder aan vóór 30 mei.

Over de Horeca Food Waste Challenge 2022

Up New Food van Midpoint Brabant, Rabobank en 013Food organiseren deze challenge om horecaondernemers in de regio Hart van Brabant te helpen om minder voedsel te verspillen en zo geld te besparen. Dertien horecabedrijven doen mee. Onder andere de Efteling (Het Loonse Land), hotels van Mercure en Ibis maar ook restaurants zoals de Houtloods en de Wagon gingen de strijd aan tegen verspilling. Tijdens dit traject – dat nu nog loopt-  krijgen zij advies van Wastewatchers. Het team, de keukeninrichting, menu-engineering en bediening staan daarin centraal.

De ondernemers strijden op een collegiale manier om een podiumplek. De winnaar is degene die tussen twee metingen het meest bespaart in kilo’s, CO₂ en euro’s. Ondertussen leren ze van elkaar. En laten we eerlijk zijn: eigenlijk is iedereen een winnaar, want de échte challenge is er een van ons allemaal: het terugdringen van voedselverspilling.
